About

Life Cafe, New York City, December 2006. Photo by Aaron Lee Fineman.

Rich Copley Photography, etc. is the product of a reunion.

In college, I seriously picked up a camera for the first time and loved it. I loved creating images and telling stories with them. My career took me toward telling stories with words, since 1998 as an arts and cultural journalist at the Lexington Herald-Leader. It has been a rewarding journey that continues to this day, and it is one that eventually reunited me with a camera.

For several years I have enjoyed shooting photos for the paper and once again making photography a part of my life.

This little enterprise allows me to focus on the image, and like my day job, I love the diversity of what I get to do for my clients. One day I may be shooting portraits to mark a milestone in life, the next I could be documenting an event like a wedding or a little league baseball game. I am enjoying the spice of life.

So, welcome to my virtual storefront. Please have a look around and contact me if you feel like I am the photographer that can help tell your story.

All the best,

Rich

Lexington, Kentucky
